Leaving in 24 hours...

AND I AM STILL NOT PACKED. I am by far the worst packing procrastinator ever.

However I did finally leave the office around 730. I am such a weirdo about making sure I do as much work as humanly possible before leaving for vacay.

and of course right now i am typing an entry instead of packing my bag. Both Rachel and I had equal freak outs because we are both convinced we don't have something that we need to bring. I know for sure i need to go to the airport and get an euro plug adapter. The kit I have has been busted since London. Piece o'crap.

Sunday night we're in NYC, so if anyone is in the area, call us, we can drink...or have a meal or whatever. We'll be at the Marriott on the East Side if anyone needs us. Lexington and something...(yeah i know, not the most complete directions but i told you, I am losing my mind.)

Alright, enough of this procrastinating...I better do some packing.

Wow--5 days left in the office before departure

This weekend I attempted to figure out what I am bringing. Sadly I only was able to remember the following: Passport, Bathing Suits, flip flops, Travel Documents.

The rest I suppose will all fall into place this week. (well, I've got no choice but to do so, since we leave on SATURDAY. OMG)

I do hope they are able to contain these fires before our trip. That's some scary business.

It's So Close!

I was telling Rai today, it's so close, it's so close, that it's not even in the but still so far category....now it's just straight up close.

We've been rediscovering our photos from vacations past, and I can already tell this will be what's going to be indicitive of our trip to the grecian ruins in a couple of weeks....

Documents Have Arrived

Dear Client,

Please find travel documents enclosed for your party. We ask that you review them carefully to ensure that the services correspond with the reservation you made.



That's how our 26 page document started out. We are so excited. We even had a "conference" outside of the Starbucks at work making sure our packets were complete. Yes they were, but there are some outstanding items that we will receive upon or arrival to Greece. However it's all happening! Yay!

34 days til take off

So close but yet so far. Rachel informed me that we only have a couple of weekends left before we leave. 4 to be exact.

Do you think Greece is ready for us? Cuz I know we're both ready for it.

Santorini...ready for take off....

Today we booked our flight to Santorini from Athens....unfortunately the flight is at 5:55 AM. Brutal! But the hour flight, is better than the 4 hour ferry ride. So we can suck it up. We'll have to contact our hotel so that we can check in early.

Tonight I got a phone call from my favorite Greek friend Dimitris. I need to call him back--I don't think I've talked to him about our trip yet, and he went there for his honeymoon so I am sure he will have some good tips on things to do while we are in his mother country.

Alright, that's all I have for now.

Take our island survey!

To the right of the posts you can take a little survey to help us narrow down an additional destination on our journey. We'll be staying in Santorini for a week, so we thought it might be nice to take a ferry to check out one of the other nearby islands. Also, I've heard rumors that Athens is easily doable in a day or so, so we could have some extra time to explore while we are there as well.

Crete might be a little bit ambitious for our journey, but I can still put it on the list. Truthfully, I think any of the islands would be cool to visit.
