Paid and Ready to Go!

We've paid for the journey...or at least charged it in my case, and now we are so for sure going. H-O-T!!!

2 months before take off. i better get thee to a gym and to a tanning booth!

Our Amazing Race begins in just over 2 months!

In case people were wondering...or not, I just like to keep talking about it.

Here's our itinerary:

Sept 1 fly to JFK on the red eye

Sept 2 spend the day/night in NYC

Sept 3 fly to Athens via London

Sept 4-6 Athens

Sept 7-13 Santorini

Sept 14-16 Mykonos

Sept 17-18 Athens

Sept 19-21 Istanbul

Sept 22 fly to JFK via London

Sept 23 fly back home.

it's a bit whirlwind, but i am hoping we'll have a lot of time to chill and just hang out at the beach.

Here are the hotels that we are scheduled to be staying at:

Manhattan: NY Marriott East Side

Athens: Hotel Stanley

Santorini: Hermes Hotel

Mykonos: Despotiko Hotel

Istanbul: Oran Hotel

JFK: Motel, Hotel, Holiday Inn

I also found this website that has free guide books available in PDF format. Check em out...there's one for Santorini and one for Mykonos. Holla.

It's all very exciting that the trip is coming up soon. Granted we still have two months, but it sure feels good to know it's coming quickly. Considering how quickly this year is going, I know it will be here before we know it.

A Preview of what's to come

This Technology Thing is kinda Crazy

So this is a test--I am trying to send this post via email to we can see if we can post items by sending a note to the blog instead of having to actually type in each post within the Blogger application.  If this actually works, it might be much easier and faster to post things quickly.  Perhaps this is what Rev Run does when he's on his Blackberry in the tub at the end of every episode.  I mean I am not trying to say by any means that I am Rev Run, but it would be nice to just chill in the tub and type on a blackberry.

 

Anyway, here's hoping this works.

 

Greece is on the horizon.  Believe it.

12 Weeks Until Departure!

As of today we have only 12 weeks before we go to Greece. It still seems far away, but I hope the time passes quickly. Last week we booked our hotels in New York, so at least that portion is taken care of. If only we could win the lotto to finance our trip! That would be fantastic.
